Looking for a Gong alternative built around execution, not just call analysis?

AnyTeam is the Gong alternative for teams whose priority is sales execution. It helps every rep sell like your best reps by using each account’s full history to prepare the rep, act on the deal and keep what the team learns. AnyTeam is the AI workforce for revenue teams: a team of AI agents running on one shared, compounding memory.

    • Prepares reps using the account’s full history. Before each meeting, the rep gets a brief with account research, the buying team and the context from every earlier call, email and message.
    • Captures next steps and CRM updates. By the time the call ends, the recap is written, next steps and to-dos are captured, and CRM updates for Salesforce or HubSpot are moving.
    • Drafts the follow-up. Follow-ups are written in your company’s voice from the meeting and the account’s history, and the rep reviews them before anything is sent.
    • Recommends what should happen next. During the call and after it, AnyTeam suggests the next step based on the deal’s full context and what has worked across your sales organization.
    • Preserves what worked across previous deals. The outcome of every deal goes back into a shared company memory, so the next rep starts with what the team already learned.

Best for: B2B sales organizations that care more about sales execution, CRM accuracy, rep productivity, next-best action and organizational sales memory.

Gong may still be the better choice if recorded-call coaching, call libraries or forecasting are the main jobs you are buying for. AnyTeam captures conversations as text and does not record audio or video.

High-stakes actions wait for approval, every action is written to a tamper-evident audit trail, and AnyTeam works alongside Salesforce and HubSpot rather than replacing them.

How is AnyTeam different from Gong?

Gong primarily helps teams understand and analyze sales conversations. AnyTeam is designed to help the team act across the deal before, during and after those conversations, and learn from what happens.

    Gong AnyTeam
Core loop Call → analyze → coach Context → prepare → call → act → update CRM → learn → improve the next deal
Starts from The recorded call The account’s full history in a shared company memory
Strongest at Recorded-call analysis, coaching, call libraries and forecasting Meeting prep, live guidance, post-call work, next actions and organizational memory
How conversations are captured Records calls Captures conversations as text; no audio or video recording
After the call Drafts follow-up emails; AI Data Extractor fills CRM fields with no rep input Recap, next steps, to-dos and CRM updates by the end of the call; follow-ups drafted for rep review; high-stakes actions approved first
What carries forward Recorded calls, emails and account activity for coaching and deal review Deal outcomes and what worked, used to shape the next deal
CRMs Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics (one at a time) Salesforce, HubSpot

Gong also sells Gong Engage, Gong Forecast and Gong Enable, and it drafts follow-ups and fills CRM fields. The difference is the job each product was built around, not a claim that one is better overall.

AnyTeam’s agents all run on one memory. Think of the memory as one brain and the agents as many hands: the agent preparing the brief, the agent drafting the follow-up and the agent updating the CRM draw on the same account picture, so nothing is pasted in or re-explained. The memory works in three steps, capture, connect and compound: every call, email, meeting, CRM update and Slack thread is captured, connected to the account, the deal and the people involved, and used so that every rep benefits from every past deal. The tenth deal starts with what the first nine taught the team.

What does full-deal context change? An example

Illustrative example (composite scenario, not a customer story).

On a late-stage call, the buyer’s champion says: “Security still needs to sign off.”

With only the call’s context, a tool reads that as a security concern. It drafts an email offering the security documentation and logs “Security review pending” in the CRM.

With the full deal’s context, the tool can also see that the security packet was already sent two weeks ago and that the head of security has never joined a call or replied to an email. Resending the documentation would change nothing. The useful next action is asking the champion for a meeting with the head of security this week, and the CRM should flag an unengaged stakeholder as a risk on the opportunity.

Both versions are “automated.” Only one moves the deal. Knowing what happened is different from knowing what should happen next.

    Why trust this comparison?

There are no customer quotes on this page. Instead, here is how you can check our work and judge AnyTeam for yourself.

    • The same fields for every tool. Each tool, AnyTeam included, is described from its own documentation using the same fields: follow-up, CRM updates, approval controls, what the AI reads, what it keeps, CRMs and pricing. Where a vendor does not document something, we write “not stated.” Every profile links its sources and the date we checked them.
    • AnyTeam’s limits, stated up front. AnyTeam does not record audio or video, so it will not give you a call library for coaching from recordings. It supports Salesforce and HubSpot only, does not document forecasting, and is not a sequencer.
    • Controls you can inspect. AnyTeam’s reasoning layer never holds credentials, high-stakes actions pass an independent check before they run, every action is written to a tamper-evident audit trail, and your data is never used to train models.
    • See the product work. Watch Get Ready for Your Next Call in 30 Seconds for meeting prep, Never Lose a Thread, a Promise, or a Deal Again for turning a call into next actions, and Introducing AnyTeam’s Team Features for the view sales leaders get across every rep’s deals.
    • Test it on your own deals. The five-call test below works for any tool on this page, including ours.

Why do teams look for Gong alternatives?

Teams rarely leave Gong because it lacks a feature. These are the reasons that come up most.

    • Price and contract structure. Gong’s pricing page says licenses are charged per person and that “there is a platform fee based on the number of users supported.” It publishes no dollar figures, and pricing comes through a customized proposal. Vendr’s buyer data reports a median Gong contract of about $55,000 a year across 1,145 purchases, with mid-market and enterprise buyers commonly paying $1,200 to $2,400 per seat annually. Vendr’s page was last updated in March 2026 and does not state the time window for these figures.
    • Paying for more than you use. Gong’s product line now includes Gong Engage, Gong Forecast and Gong Enable alongside its conversation intelligence. Teams that mainly use recording and coaching end up comparing tools priced for that narrower job.
    • Product gaps users mention. TrustRadius’s summary of recent reviews, where Gong scores 9.1 out of 10 across 1,188 reviews and ratings, lists AI summaries that are sometimes inaccurate, transcription errors with technical jargon and non-English speech, cumbersome search, limited reporting detail, and a wish for more advanced generative AI.
    • Stack consolidation. Engagement platforms and CRMs now include call recording and AI agents, so some teams drop a separate conversation intelligence tool and use what they already own.
    • The work after the call is still the rep’s. Some teams are satisfied with Gong’s analysis. Their problem is that knowing what happened on a call does not get the follow-up sent, the CRM updated or the next step moving, and what one rep learns on a deal rarely reaches the next rep.

The first four reasons point to cheaper or simpler versions of the same job. The fifth is a different job: execution and team memory.

What counts as a Gong alternative?

A Gong alternative is any tool a sales team could use instead of Gong, or alongside a smaller Gong contract, to turn customer conversations into coaching, deal insight, forecasts, follow-up or CRM updates. Gong bundles all of these into one revenue platform. Most alternatives are stronger in one of these jobs and lighter in the others, so the right choice depends on which job you are buying. The tools on this page fall into five types.

Type What it is built for Tools on this page
Execution and team memory Preparing the rep, turning the call into follow-up, CRM updates and the next action, and keeping what each deal teaches AnyTeam, Momentum
Conversation and revenue intelligence platforms Recording, call analytics, coaching, deal inspection and forecasting Salesloft (with Clari), Chorus by ZoomInfo
Sales engagement suites with conversation intelligence Sequences and dialing first, call analysis and deal agents second Outreach, Salesloft
Meeting assistants Record, transcribe, summarize and sync, without the platform weight Avoma, Fathom, Fireflies.ai
CRM-native AI AI agents working inside the system of record HubSpot Sales Hub, Salesforce Agentforce Sales

Gong alternatives compared at a glance

“Post-call execution” uses the levels defined in what “automated” means. “Organizational learning” is what each tool keeps after the deal, based on its documentation. Details and sources are in each profile.

Tool Type Best for Post-call execution Organizational learning Starting price
Gong (reference) Conversation and revenue intelligence Coaching from call recordings and forecasting at scale Drafts follow-up emails; AI Data Extractor fills CRM fields with no rep input Recorded calls, emails and account activity stay available for coaching and deal review Not published; per-user license plus platform fee
    1. AnyTeam AI workforce for revenue teams: execution plus team memory Teams that want every rep operating more like their best reps Handles the admin (recap, next steps, to-dos, CRM updates), drafts follow-ups for review, surfaces next actions and risk signals; high-stakes actions approved first Captures deal outcomes and what worked in a shared company memory that future reps and managers draw on Not published
    2. Salesloft (with Clari) Conversation and revenue intelligence; engagement Engagement, call intelligence and forecasting from one vendor Drafts follow-up emails; syncs methodology fields automatically Methodology fields and activity metrics kept in the CRM Not published
    3. Outreach Engagement suite Teams already running Outreach for sequencing Drafts emails; Deal Agent recommends field updates with admin-chosen approval Kaia summaries and opportunity fields kept in the CRM Not published; seats plus AI credits
    4. Chorus by ZoomInfo Conversation and revenue intelligence Teams already using ZoomInfo Drafts follow-up emails; syncs interactions to the CRM Conversation metrics combined with Salesforce reporting Custom plans; not published
    5. Avoma Meeting assistant Notes, follow-up drafts and CRM sync on a smaller budget Drafts follow-up emails; saves notes to CRM records Notes on CRM records; past recordings stay available From $19 per recorder seat/month (annual)
    6. Fathom Meeting assistant Free or low-cost notes Follow-up emails on the Business plan; automatic summary sync Summaries and action items kept in the CRM Free; Team $15, Business $25 per user/month (annual)
    7. Fireflies.ai Meeting assistant Low-cost notes with CRM updates you review first Drafts HubSpot field updates that wait for approval (Business and up) Deal workspace with linked meetings, tasks, risks and an activity timeline Free; Pro from $10 per seat/month (annual)
    8. HubSpot Sales Hub CRM-native AI Teams whose CRM is HubSpot Suggests CRM updates and drafts follow-ups for the rep to accept Engagement history on HubSpot records Free; Starter from $20; Professional from $90 per seat/month
    9. Salesforce Agentforce Sales CRM-native AI Teams whose CRM is Salesforce Agent updates fields and recommends next steps; seller keeps final approval Salesforce records and linked interactions Core edition or above plus $125/user/month add-on, or Max $550
    10. Momentum Execution Salesforce teams adding CRM updates on top of a recorder they already own Drafts follow-ups; writes Salesforce fields and objects Salesforce fields and objects updated per call or account Business $69, Transformation $99 per user/month; CI add-on $30

Most tools keep a record of what happened, usually in the CRM. The question for the “Organizational learning” column is whether that record shapes the next deal’s recommendations, and whether it stays with the company when a rep leaves.

How to choose a Gong alternative: write down what you want

Choose by job, not by feature list. Most Gong comparisons go wrong at the first step, because the buyer has not said what job they are hiring a tool to do. Write the answers down before you open a demo.

    1. Write down what you use Gong for today. The answer sorts the rest of this page.

    If your job is… Then…
Recording, transcripts and coaching, with managers reviewing calls and deals after the fact A mid-priced conversation intelligence tool or a meeting assistant will do most of it. Compare Avoma, Chorus, Fathom and Fireflies.ai on transcription quality and price. Gong stays the benchmark for depth.
Forecasting and pipeline inspection from conversation evidence Look at Gong Forecast or Salesloft with Clari. Most tools on this page do not document forecasting.
Getting the admin done and the next step right on every deal, so reps act before the buyer asks and what your best reps do becomes the team’s default This is the execution and team memory job. AnyTeam is built for it. Momentum and Outreach’s Deal Agent cover parts of it, as do the CRM-native agents if your CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce.

One way to tell which row is yours: when a deal slips, do you want to be able to find out why afterward, or to see the signs while there is still time to act? Both are legitimate jobs, and they point to different tools.

    2. Start from your core system. HubSpot teams should test Sales Hub first. Salesforce teams should look at Agentforce Sales before adding a vendor. If you already run Outreach or Salesloft, price their conversation intelligence modules before buying another tool.

    3. Decide what “automated” has to mean for each task. Follow-up drafting, CRM notes and CRM field changes can sit at different levels in the same tool. Decide which of them can run without a person and which cannot.

    4. Check what the tool reads, what it writes and what it keeps. Confirm which CRM fields each tool writes, how often, and whether a change is automatic, filled only if empty, or held for approval. Then ask what happens to what the tool learned from this deal.

    5. Test with your own calls. Run five real calls through two finalists, including any with accents, jargon or other languages. The five-call test is below.

    6. Price the whole contract. Include platform fees, onboarding fees, minimum seats, add-ons and AI credits. Where a vendor does not publish prices, get the quote in writing before you compare.

What does “automated” mean after a sales call?

“Automated” can describe five different levels of work, from capturing the conversation to acting without review. A vendor that says it “automates CRM updates” may mean any of them.

Level What the tool does Follow-up example CRM example Who still does the work
Observe Captures the conversation Transcript or text notes exist Call logged as an activity The rep does everything else
Analyze Summarizes and extracts Action items and next steps listed Summary pushed into a notes field The rep decides what matters and acts on it
Recommend Suggests a specific action “Send pricing to the CFO by Friday” “Move close date to Q1” suggested The rep accepts or ignores
Draft Prepares the work for review Follow-up email ready to edit and send Proposed field changes waiting for approval The rep reviews and approves
Execute Does it without a review step Email sent automatically Fields written directly Nobody, unless something goes wrong

Compare tools task by task, not product by product. The same tool can draft the follow-up email, execute a notes sync, and only recommend a close-date change.

The higher the level, the more the approval controls matter. When several tools can write to the same CRM fields, the last write wins, and a manager cannot tell which system moved the close date or why. Look for one of these approval modes for anything that feeds the forecast:

    • Automatic: the field is written as soon as the AI extracts a value.
    • Fill only if empty: the AI writes only to blank fields and never overwrites a rep’s entry.
    • Confirm first: the change waits for a person to approve it.

Outreach’s Deal Agent offers all three as admin settings. Fireflies.ai’s HubSpot autofill writes nothing until a user approves it. Gong’s AI Data Extractor fills CRM fields with no rep input. AnyTeam gives every high-stakes action an independent check before it runs and writes every action to a tamper-evident audit trail.

The step most comparisons miss: learn and compound

The five levels describe how much of today’s work a tool does. They say nothing about the next deal. A tool can execute every task on this deal and still start the next deal from zero.

The step after execute is a loop: do the work, see what happened, remember it, and use it on the next deal. That is how a team’s best behaviors, such as the follow-up that kept a deal moving or the early warning that saved one, stop living in a few reps’ heads and become the way the whole team sells.

In the documentation we reviewed, most tools describe what they write to the CRM, not how what they learn shapes the next deal. AnyTeam is built around this loop through its compounding memory.

Call context vs. full-deal context: what to ask each vendor

A follow-up built from today’s call can say what was discussed. A follow-up built from the deal’s history can say what to do about it. The security example above shows the difference: the same sentence from a champion leads to a wasted email in one case and the right meeting in the other.

When you evaluate Gong alternatives, ask each vendor what the follow-up draft can actually read: this call only, the CRM record, the account’s prior calls and emails, or all of them. Several tools on this page read more than the call. Gong reads prior account activity, HubSpot Sales Hub reads deal history, Outreach reads account emails, and Fireflies.ai builds a timeline of meetings linked to the deal.

Context also matters when accounts change hands and when new reps join. If account history lives in one rep’s notes or one tool’s call library, the next rep starts over. If it lives in a memory that belongs to the organization, the new owner inherits it on day one, along with how the team handled similar deals before.

Detailed comparison: follow-up and CRM updates

Gong is listed first as the reference point, followed by the ten alternatives in the order of this guide. “Approval control” reflects what each vendor documents; a blank in the documentation is reported as “not stated,” not as a missing feature.

The 10 best Gong alternatives in detail

Every profile uses the same fields: what the tool is best for, what happens to follow-up, what happens to the CRM and who approves it, what the AI can read, and the pros and cons we can document.

    1. AnyTeam: best for sales execution, CRM accuracy and organizational sales memory

Type: AI workforce for revenue teams (execution plus team memory)

Best for: B2B sales organizations that care more about sales execution, CRM accuracy, rep productivity, next-best action and organizational sales memory. In short, teams that want every rep operating more like their best reps.

AnyTeam helps every rep sell like your best reps. It automates the admin work around each deal, recommends next actions based on the account’s full context and what has worked across your sales organization, and captures the outcome of every deal back into a shared company memory.

What it is built to change:

    • Better rep decisions. Next steps draw on the deal’s history and on what has worked on similar deals, not only on the last call.
    • Faster ramp. New reps inherit the account history and the team’s experience on day one instead of rebuilding it.
    • More selling per rep. Research, meeting prep, recaps, follow-up drafts and CRM updates are handled around the deal, so reps spend more of their time with buyers.
    • Better visibility for sales leaders. Leaders see every rep’s deals and the signals that a deal is drifting in one place. See AnyTeam for sales leaders.

These are the outcomes AnyTeam is designed for. This page does not quote time-saved or revenue figures.

    • Before the call: agents run continuously, researching accounts, mapping the buying team and preparing a brief before each meeting. See AnyTeam’s sales agents.
    • During the call: AnyTeam captures the conversation as text and offers live guidance, such as objection plays, competitor positioning and next-best questions, grounded in the account’s history.
    • Follow-up: by the time the call ends, the recap is written, next steps are captured, and to-dos are assigned. Follow-ups are drafted in the company’s voice from the meeting, the account’s history and the team’s writing style. Reps review before anything is sent.
    • CRM: AnyTeam reads account and deal context from Salesforce or HubSpot and writes updates back after meetings. High-stakes actions pass an independent check before they run, and every action is written to a tamper-evident audit trail. AnyTeam works alongside the CRM and does not replace it.
    • Context: Gmail or Outlook, Google or Outlook calendars, Salesforce or HubSpot, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Notion, Google Drive, OneDrive, meetings captured as text, and external account research. The memory belongs to the organization, so it stays with the account when a rep moves.
    • Pros: next actions and follow-ups shaped by the account’s full history and by what has worked across the team; admin handled before, during and after the call; high-stakes actions approved before they run, with an audit trail on every action; account knowledge that does not leave with the rep.
    • Cons: AnyTeam captures conversations as text and does not record audio or video, so it will not give you a call library for coaching from recordings. CRM support is limited to Salesforce and HubSpot. It does not document forecasting or pipeline roll-ups, and it is not a sequencer. It has not published a per-action list of what runs automatically and what waits for approval, or the specific CRM fields it writes.
    • Pricing: not published.
    • See it: Never Lose a Thread, a Promise, or a Deal Again (video) · AnyTeam for sales reps

    2. Salesloft (with Clari): best for engagement, call intelligence and forecasting from one vendor

Type: conversation and revenue intelligence; sales engagement

    • Follow-up: drafts follow-up emails from call context.
    • CRM: automatically syncs methodology fields (MEDDPICC, BANT, SPICED) populated from calls, plus activity metrics. No approval step is described.
    • Context: call transcripts, email activity, CRM data, website engagement and buyer signals.
    • Pros: one vendor for engagement, conversations and forecasting, with CRM support for Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics.
    • Cons: Salesloft and Clari merged in December 2025, and the combined workflow is still settling, so test how unified it is for reps before assuming one experience. Prices are not published.
    • Sources (checked September 30, 2026): Merger announcement, Deals, Conversation Intelligence

    3. Outreach: best for teams that sequence in Outreach and want deal agents in the same suite

Type: sales engagement suite with conversation intelligence

    • Follow-up: drafts emails, with Kaia providing meeting summaries.
    • CRM: the Deal Agent turns meetings into opportunity-field recommendations. Admins choose “Auto update,” “Auto update if only vacant,” or “Update only after confirmation.”
    • Context: Kaia transcripts, account emails and CRM data.
    • Pros: the clearest admin-level approval controls documented in this comparison.
    • Cons: CRM documentation lists Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, so HubSpot teams should confirm support. AI features draw on AI credits, and prices are not published.
    • Sources (checked September 30, 2026): Deal Agent, CRM connection overview, pricing

    4. Chorus by ZoomInfo: best for teams already using ZoomInfo

    Type: conversation and revenue intelligence

    • Follow-up: ZoomInfo announced generative-AI follow-up email drafts for Chorus in September 2023.
    • CRM: ZoomInfo says Chorus syncs contact and customer interactions from your systems of engagement to the CRM, and lets you combine conversation metrics with Salesforce reporting. HubSpot is not mentioned on the page.
    • Pros: follow-up drafts and conversation intelligence from a vendor many sales teams already buy data from.
    • Cons: no published prices; ZoomInfo offers custom plans. The pages we reviewed don’t describe approval controls for CRM updates.
    • Sources: Chorus pricing page (checked October 14, 2026), Chorus follow-up email release (checked October 13, 2026)

    5. Avoma: best for a meeting assistant with CRM sync on a smaller budget

    Type: meeting assistant

    • Follow-up: drafts a follow-up email from the transcript, decisions and next steps, ready within minutes of the call. Reps review, edit and send through Gmail or Outlook.
    • CRM: saves meeting notes to the associated CRM records and appends extracted content to mapped CRM fields. Avoma’s help center describes no review step for this sync. Two-way CRM field updates come with the Revenue Intelligence add-on.
    • Context: Avoma’s follow-up page describes drafts built from the meeting’s transcript. It also pulls CRM data into calls and notes.
    • Pros: published prices starting at $19 per recorder seat per month on annual billing, a 14-day free trial, and CRM mapping for both Salesforce and HubSpot.
    • Cons: one CRM connection at a time, no permanent free plan for recording, and two-way field updates cost extra. Its documentation does not describe drafts that use earlier meetings on the account.
    • Sources: Avoma pricing (checked October 14, 2026), Avoma follow-up, CRM field mapping FAQ, CRM data entry (checked October 13, 2026)

    6. Fathom: best for free meeting notes

    Type: meeting assistant

    • Follow-up: AI follow-up emails on the Business plan.
    • CRM: syncs summaries and action items to HubSpot or Salesforce automatically. On Business, it maps summary content into CRM deal fields.
    • Context: recorded meetings, with the CRM used to match calls to contacts and deals.
    • Pros: a free plan, published prices, and automatic sync to both major CRMs.
    • Cons: knows only what was said in recorded meetings. CRM field sync and follow-ups require the Business plan.
    • Sources (checked September 30, 2026): Fathom pricing, HubSpot integration

    7. Fireflies.ai: best for low-cost notes with CRM updates you review first

    Type: meeting assistant

    • Follow-up: Fireflies lists an Email Assistant on Pro and higher plans. Its pricing page does not describe how follow-up drafts work.
    • CRM: Autofill CRM analyzes the transcript after a meeting and drafts updates to HubSpot contact, company and deal properties, including custom properties. Nothing is written to HubSpot until a user reviews and approves it. Deal Intelligence brings HubSpot or Salesforce deal data together with linked meetings in a deal workspace with tasks, risks and an activity timeline.
    • Context: meeting transcripts, CRM data and the meetings linked to each deal.
    • Pros: a free plan, low paid tiers, and a documented review step before HubSpot write-back.
    • Cons: the autofill documentation covers HubSpot and does not mention Salesforce. Autofill CRM and Deal Intelligence require the Business or Enterprise plan, and Deal Intelligence requires a Fireflies admin. Its view of a deal is built from synced meetings and CRM data.
    • Pricing: Free; Pro $10 and Business $19 per seat per month on annual billing ($18 and $29 monthly); Enterprise $39 per seat per month, annual only.
    • Sources (checked October 14, 2026): Fireflies pricing, Autofill CRM for HubSpot, CRM Deal Intelligence

    8. HubSpot Sales Hub: best for teams whose CRM is HubSpot

    Type: CRM-native AI

    • Follow-up and CRM: Deal Progression analyzes transcripts, emails and deal history to suggest CRM updates, draft follow-ups and recommend next steps. Suggestions are for the rep to accept.
    • Context: HubSpot records and up to a year of engagement history, plus meeting transcripts.
    • Pros: the AI lives where the CRM data already is, and suggestions wait for the rep.
    • Cons: only useful if HubSpot is your CRM. Call transcription and conversation intelligence start at Professional.
    • Sources (checked September 30, 2026): Sales Hub, pricing

    9. Salesforce Agentforce Sales: best for teams whose CRM is Salesforce

    Type: CRM-native AI

    • Follow-up and CRM: the pipeline-management agent updates fields and recommends next steps after customer touchpoints. Salesforce states that sellers keep “full visibility and final approval over every agent action.”
    • Context: Salesforce data and CRM-linked emails, notes and recorded interactions. It analyzes recordings already linked to Salesforce rather than capturing meetings itself.
    • Pros: native to Salesforce, with seller approval stated for every agent action.
    • Cons: agents only see what reaches Salesforce. AI requires the Core edition or above plus the Agentforce add-on, or the Max edition.
    • Sources (checked September 30, 2026): Agentforce Sales announcement, Agentforce pricing

    10. Momentum: best for Salesforce CRM updates on top of a recorder you already own

    Type: execution

    • Follow-up: drafts follow-up emails.
    • CRM: writes to any Salesforce field or object per call or per account. Reps can push updates and approvals from Slack. Its pages don’t state which updates wait for approval by default.
    • Context: calls from its own recorder add-on or connected sources, including Gong and Chorus, plus Salesforce and Slack.
    • Pros: broad Salesforce write access, and it works on top of the recorder you already have.
    • Cons: Salesforce is the only CRM on its integrations page. It is designed to sit on top of an existing recorder, which makes it a supplement to Gong as often as a replacement.
    • Sources (checked September 30, 2026): Momentum pricing, Deal Execution Agent, integrations

    Not profiled in this edition

tl;dv, Revenue.io, Jiminny, Outdoo, Sybill and several newer agent platforms appear on other Gong-alternative lists. We have not checked their current follow-up and CRM documentation to the same standard, so we do not describe them here.

How to test a Gong alternative: the five-call test

Run the same five real calls through every tool on your shortlist and compare the output with what your reps actually did. Demos show automation on clean data. Your pilot has to show it on your deals. This test takes about a week and works for any tool on this page.

    1. Pick five recent calls from deals that are still open. Include at least one messy deal with several stakeholders and a long email thread, and one deal that changed hands between reps.

    2. For each call, record what your rep did by hand afterward. The follow-up email they sent, the CRM fields they changed, and the tasks they created. This is your answer key.

    3. Run the same calls through the tool and compare, task by task.

    Check What good looks like
Follow-up accuracy The draft names the real commitments and owners, not 20 action items when there were four
Follow-up context The draft reflects something from an earlier call or email, not only this one
Next action The recommended next step matches what your best rep would do on this deal
CRM correctness Changes land on the right opportunity and the right contact
CRM level You can see which changes were written, which were proposed, and which were only noted
Error handling When the tool is wrong, you can see what it changed and undo it
Rep effort Minutes from call end to follow-up sent, compared with the answer key

    4. Ask the vendor four questions, in writing:

    • Which post-call actions run automatically, which wait for approval, and can we change that per field?
    • What can the follow-up draft read: this call, the CRM record, earlier calls and emails on the account?
    • When the AI writes something wrong to the CRM, how do we find out, and is there a log of every change?
    • What happens to what the tool learned from this deal: is it used on the next one, and does it stay when the rep leaves?

A vendor that cannot answer these clearly is telling you how much checking your reps will do.

Want to start the test with AnyTeam? Bring us one open deal, and we’ll show you the follow-up and CRM updates AnyTeam would prepare, the next action it would recommend, and what would wait for your approval.

When is Gong still the better choice?

Gong is still the better choice when coaching from call recordings, call libraries or forecasting from conversation evidence is the main job. Switching costs are real, so stay if any of these describe your team:

    • Coaching from call recordings is central to how you manage. If managers review call tape, build call libraries and score reps on recordings, Gong’s depth here is the reason to stay. AnyTeam, for example, captures conversations as text and does not record audio or video.
    • You run a formal forecast from conversation evidence. Gong Forecast, or Salesloft with Clari, is built for this. Most tools on this page, including AnyTeam, do not document forecasting.
    • Gong already drafts your follow-ups and fills your CRM fields well enough. Turn those features on and measure them before buying another tool.
    • You are mid-rollout. Finishing an adoption usually beats restarting one.

    Gong, for reference

    • Follow-up: drafts follow-up emails from call transcripts, which reps edit before sending.
    • CRM: AI Data Extractor fills CRM fields with no rep input once an admin configures it.
    • Context: recorded calls, emails and prior account activity, plus CRM data.
    • Pros: the deepest call analytics and coaching in this comparison, and a 9.1 out of 10 score on TrustRadius across 1,188 reviews and ratings.
    • Cons: prices are not published and include a platform fee. Nearly everything depends on recorded conversations, so unrecorded meetings leave gaps in follow-up and CRM extraction. Full CRM features need Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics, one CRM at a time.

Should you replace Gong or use an alternative alongside it?

Not every team needs to choose. Some keep a smaller Gong footprint for coaching from recordings and add a tool for execution and team memory.

If your main problem is… Consider Notes
Reps who don’t all sell like your best reps, and slow ramp for new hires AnyTeam Next actions draw on what has worked across the team; new reps inherit account history
Follow-up and CRM work after calls, on Salesforce or HubSpot AnyTeam, Avoma, Fathom (Business), Fireflies.ai (Business), HubSpot Sales Hub Run the five-call test above
Price or contract, with similar needs Salesloft (with Clari), Chorus, Avoma Compare like for like on recording and coaching depth
CRM hygiene on Salesforce, keeping Gong as the recorder Momentum Designed to sit on top of Gong and other recorders
Engagement and sequencing alongside call intelligence Outreach, Salesloft Engagement-led suites
AI inside the CRM you already run Salesforce Agentforce Sales, HubSpot Sales Hub Only sees what reaches the CRM

If you keep Gong and add a second tool that writes to the CRM, decide which system owns each field before you turn either on.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the best Gong alternative?

It depends on why you are replacing Gong. For sales execution, CRM automation and shared sales memory, start with AnyTeam. For call intelligence and forecasting from one vendor, look at Salesloft with Clari. For sequencing, Outreach. For a meeting assistant with CRM sync, Avoma. For free meeting notes, Fathom. For HubSpot-native or Salesforce-native AI, HubSpot Sales Hub or Salesforce Agentforce Sales. If coaching from call recordings and forecasting at scale are the main jobs, Gong is still the benchmark.

    Who are Gong’s main competitors?

The ten alternatives in this guide are AnyTeam, Salesloft (with Clari), Outreach, Chorus by ZoomInfo, Avoma, Fathom, Fireflies.ai, HubSpot Sales Hub, Salesforce Agentforce Sales and Momentum. They range from execution and team memory platforms to conversation intelligence suites, engagement platforms, meeting assistants and CRM-native AI.

Why is AnyTeam a good alternative to Gong?

AnyTeam is a strong alternative when your priority is execution rather than call analysis. It prepares reps with the account’s full history, captures next steps and CRM updates by the end of the call, drafts follow-ups for review, recommends what should happen next, and keeps what worked in a shared company memory so every rep sells more like your best reps. If coaching from call recordings or forecasting is the main job, Gong remains the better fit.

Which Gong competitors automate follow-up and CRM updates after sales calls?

AnyTeam, Salesloft, Outreach, Avoma, Fathom (Business plan), Fireflies.ai (Business plan), HubSpot Sales Hub, Salesforce Agentforce Sales and Momentum all document post-call follow-up or CRM work. They differ in how far the automation goes, who approves it, and whether the tool learns from what happened. Some draft and wait for review, some write fields directly, and some let admins choose per field. Gong itself also drafts follow-ups and fills CRM fields, so compare the approval controls, the context each tool reads and what it keeps for the next deal.

Why do teams look for Gong alternatives?

The most common reasons are price and contract structure, paying for products the team does not use, product gaps such as transcription errors and limited reporting, and consolidating onto a platform they already own. Some teams want the work after the call done, and what one rep learns shared with the rest of the team, not only analyzed. See the full list above.

What are the best Gong alternatives for Salesforce teams?

AnyTeam, Salesloft, Outreach (Salesforce and Dynamics), Chorus, Avoma, Fathom, Salesforce Agentforce Sales (native) and Momentum (Salesforce only) all support Salesforce. Fireflies.ai supports Salesforce in Deal Intelligence, though its CRM autofill documentation covers HubSpot. Check which fields each tool writes, and whether changes are automatic or approved.

What are the best Gong alternatives for mid-market sales teams?

For teams that want the admin handled and every rep selling more like their best reps, AnyTeam is built around that job on Salesforce or HubSpot. For coaching and forecasting at mid-market scale, Salesloft (with Clari) is the closest like-for-like option. For lower-cost notes, follow-up and CRM sync, Avoma, Fathom and Fireflies.ai fit smaller teams. Momentum covers post-call CRM work on Salesforce.

Which Gong alternatives are better for execution than call coaching?

Tools built around execution rather than recording: AnyTeam for preparation, follow-up, CRM updates and next actions drawn from the account’s full history and from what has worked across the team, with approval on high-stakes changes; Momentum for Salesforce CRM hygiene on top of an existing recorder; and Outreach’s Deal Agent if you already run Outreach.

Which Gong alternative helps new reps ramp faster?

Look for a tool that keeps what the team learns and gives it to the next rep. AnyTeam’s shared memory holds each account’s history and the outcomes of past deals, so a new rep starts with them on day one instead of rebuilding them. Conversation intelligence tools such as Gong support ramp in a different way, through coaching on recorded calls.

Which Gong alternatives keep account context across calls and rep handoffs?

AnyTeam keeps an organizational memory of each account across calls, email and other connected tools, and that memory stays with the account when a rep moves. Several other tools read prior emails, CRM history or linked meetings when drafting. Ask any vendor what its follow-up draft can read, and test it with a deal that changed hands.

What is the most affordable Gong alternative?

Gong publishes no prices, so any comparison starts with a quote. Among the tools on this page, Fathom and Fireflies.ai have free plans. Fathom’s paid plans are $15 and $25 per user per month, and Fireflies.ai’s Pro plan starts at $10 per seat per month, both on annual billing. HubSpot Sales Hub has a free tier with Starter from $20 per seat per month, and Avoma starts at $19 per recorder seat per month on annual billing. Price the whole contract, including platform fees, onboarding, add-ons and AI credits, before comparing.

Can I switch off Gong without losing my data?

Ask Gong, in writing, how call recordings, transcripts and CRM activity can be exported before you sign anything with a replacement. Keep Gong running through a pilot so you can compare both tools on the same calls.

Can I use AnyTeam alongside Gong?

Yes. AnyTeam covers part of what teams use Gong for: meeting prep, live guidance during calls, the work after the call, and account memory. It captures conversations as text and does not record audio or video, so teams that coach from call recordings often keep Gong for that. If you run both, decide which system owns each CRM field before you turn either on.

    Is Gong worth it?

Gong is worth it for teams that coach from call recordings and forecast from conversation evidence at scale. Teams that mainly need the admin done, the CRM kept accurate and every rep selling more like their best reps often pay for analytics they do not use, and a tool built for that job can cover it.

How we compared and publisher disclosure

    • Research dates: Gong help-center, Fathom, HubSpot, Momentum, Outreach, Salesforce and Salesloft facts come from first-party documentation checked on September 30, 2026. Avoma and Chorus product pages were checked on October 13, 2026. Gong’s pricing page, Avoma’s pricing page, ZoomInfo’s Chorus pricing page, Fireflies.ai’s pricing and help-center pages, the Vendr marketplace page and the TrustRadius review summary were checked on October 14, 2026.
    • What we compared: follow-up after the call, CRM updates after the call, documented approval controls, the context the AI can read, what each tool keeps after the deal, CRM support and published pricing.
    • How the list is ordered: the numbers organize the page by job; they are not scores. AnyTeam is listed first because AnyTeam publishes this page and the page is written for the job AnyTeam was built for. Every other tool is placed by the job it fits best.
    • Evidence standard: first-party product pages, help centers, pricing pages and official releases, plus the third-party sources linked in the “Why do teams look” section. Vendor-reported outcomes are not repeated. Where a vendor does not document something, we say “not stated.”
    • Reviews: the switching themes describe reviewer sentiment from published review summaries, not measured outcomes.

    Publisher disclosure

AnyTeam publishes this page and is one of the tools compared. AnyTeam is described from its own product documentation and held to the same fields as every other tool. Where AnyTeam does not offer or document something, such as call recording or forecasting, this page says so.
