Best Revenue Intelligence Platforms in 2026: 8 Tools Compared
Compare Gong, Clari Forecast, Backstory, Revenue.io, Avoma, Salesforce, HubSpot and AnyTeam on the three questions sales leaders ask before they buy: does it tell me why a deal is at risk, what does it read to know, and what happens after the flag?

Which revenue intelligence platform should you choose?
Choose by the question you ask most in your Monday pipeline review. If it’s “can I trust this number?”, start with a forecasting platform. If it’s “what was actually said on that call?”, start with conversation intelligence. If it’s “which deals are slipping, why, and is anyone fixing it?”, start with a tool that reads every place your team works and turns the flag into the rep’s next step.
- Clari Forecast (Salesloft): forecast roll-ups across many teams and regions. Clari merged with Salesloft and now sells under the Salesloft brand. Only Clari Forecast keeps the Clari name.
- Gong: conversation intelligence and coaching, with deal warnings and a separate Gong Forecast product.
- Backstory (formerly People.ai): emails, calls and meetings logged to the CRM without rep effort.
- Revenue.io: live in-call guidance for teams that run entirely on Salesforce.
- AnyTeam: at-risk deals sorted by urgency with the reason written out, read from calls, email, Slack and the CRM, and the rep’s follow-up drafted for approval.
Why it matters: a risk flag doesn’t save a deal. Someone acting on the reason before the forecast call does.

What is a revenue intelligence platform?
A revenue intelligence platform reads what actually happens on your deals (calls, emails, meetings, CRM changes) and turns it into answers a sales leader can act on: which deals are healthy, which are at risk, and what the forecast should be. A CRM stores what reps typed in. A revenue intelligence platform reads what happened.
Most platforms still show where they started:
- Conversation first. Gong began by analyzing sales calls and added deal boards and forecasting later.
- Forecast first. Clari began with forecast roll-ups, replacing the spreadsheet a CRO builds from every manager’s call.
- Activity capture first. Backstory, formerly People.ai, began by logging the emails and meetings reps never entered.
A newer group starts from the work after the insight: tools whose agents draft the follow-up and the CRM update once a deal is flagged. AnyTeam is in this group. Gong and Salesloft now ship agents of their own, so the lines between groups are blurring.
The vendor list moved in the last year too. Clari merged with Salesloft in December 2025 and moved to the Salesloft brand in September 2026, with Clari Forecast keeping its name (Salesloft). People.ai renamed itself Backstory in April 2026 (Business Wire). If an older comparison sends you to clari.com or people.ai, that’s why.
Three tests to run before you buy
Ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google’s AI Mode how to choose a revenue intelligence platform and you get good tests. Can it explain why it flags a deal as risky? Does it read more than the CRM? Does it write back to the CRM, or only read from it? Then the same answers list tools without checking any of them against those tests. Here is that check, from each vendor’s own documentation.
Test 1: Does it tell you why a deal is at risk?
A red dot with no reason sends the manager back to the rep for the story, which is the meeting you were trying to skip.
- Gong shows which warning fired when you hover over a deal, and its deal likelihood score lists the positive and negative signals behind it. Scores need Gong Forecast and aren’t in Gong Pro.
- Salesforce Pipeline Inspection shows Einstein scores with the reasons for each score.
- Clari Forecast flags risk with a Deal Inspection Agent and explains deal and account health in Smart Summaries.
- AnyTeam sorts at-risk deals most urgent first and writes the reason next to each one, such as a competitor named on a call or a champion who stopped replying.
Test 2: What does it read to know?
Risk rarely shows up in the CRM first. It shows up when the champion stops answering, when a VP mentions another vendor on a call, or when your sales engineer writes in Slack that the security review hasn’t started. If the tool can’t see those places, someone has to type them in, and sales professionals already say 13% of their week goes to manual data entry (Salesforce State of Sales, 2026 edition; 4,050 respondents, surveyed August to September 2025).
- Gong reads calls and emails, and labels emails that carry a red flag.
- Clari Forecast’s Ask Clari pulls signals from calls, emails and the CRM.
- Backstory logs the emails, calls and meetings your team has with buyers.
- Revenue.io works from calls, email and Salesforce.
- Salesforce adds insights from emails and conversations once an admin turns those features on.
- AnyTeam reads calls, email, Slack and the CRM. We didn’t find Slack listed as a source of deal-risk signals in the other vendors’ documentation.
Test 3: What happens after the flag?
A flagged deal still needs a rep to send the right email and fix the record.
- Gong drafts follow-up emails after calls and lets you update CRM fields from a deal board.
- Clari Forecast suggests CRM updates through Smart Suggestions.
- Revenue.io includes automated follow-up inside Salesforce.
- Backstory and Salesforce Revenue Intelligence document insight and scoring; we didn’t find a drafted follow-up in their revenue intelligence documentation.
- AnyTeam turns a flagged deal into the rep’s next step: the follow-up email drafted in the rep’s voice and the CRM update ready, both waiting for the rep’s approval.
One at-risk deal, two views
Here’s how the same deal looks to a sales leader from the CRM and from a tool that reads every source. The company and people are fictional.
Kestrel Freight is a $140,000 deal in Commit, closing at the end of the month. This week:
- Dana, the champion, hasn’t replied to two emails in nine days.
- On Tuesday’s call, her VP said they’re also talking to another vendor.
- In the deal’s Slack channel, the sales engineer wrote that Kestrel’s security review hasn’t started.
- In the CRM, the stage is still Commit, the close date hasn’t moved, and the next step says “Send order form.”
| CRM dashboard | A view that reads every source | |
|---|---|---|
| Built from | The fields the rep filled in | Calls, email, Slack and the CRM |
| Deal status | Green: Commit, on time | Red, near the top of the rep’s card |
| The reason given | None | Champion quiet for 9 days; competitor named on Tuesday’s call; security review not started |
| What the leader does | Asks the rep for an update in the pipeline review | Reads the reason, then checks the fix is moving |
| What the rep gets | A question in the next 1:1 | A follow-up to Dana offering the security packet and a 20-minute call with your security lead, plus a CRM update that moves the next step to the security review, both ready to approve |
A tool built on activity rules would likely catch the quiet champion. The other two signals live in a call and a Slack thread, which is why the reason matters as much as the color.
The 8 platforms in detail
1. AnyTeam: best for at-risk deals explained and the follow-up drafted
- What leaders see: every rep’s deals in one place, with one card per rep showing pipeline, deals carried and today’s meetings, and a red, amber or green dot on each deal. At-risk deals come first, most urgent at the top, each with the reason it was flagged.
- What it reads: calls, email, Slack and the CRM, so it flags things a CRM dashboard can’t see, like a competitor named on a call or a champion who stopped replying.
- After the flag: the rep’s follow-up email, drafted in their voice, and the CRM update are ready for review. Nothing is sent or written to Salesforce, HubSpot or Attio until someone approves it.
- For the rep: the same agents prepare meeting briefs from the account’s history, draft follow-ups and update the CRM. The leader view comes from that work, so reps don’t file anything extra to feed it.
- Privacy: leaders see summaries and signals, not raw transcripts or other people’s inboxes. SOC 2 Type II, and customer data never trains AI models (security).
- Limits: a desktop app for macOS and Windows; connects to Salesforce, HubSpot and Attio; pricing not published.
- See it: AnyTeam for sales leaders
2. Gong: best for conversation intelligence with deal warnings
Gong analyzes calls and emails and adds deal boards for pipeline reviews. Its AI Deal Monitor shows warnings on deal and forecast boards. There are eight: no activity, ghosted, overdue, not enough contacts, no power, pricing not mentioned, red flag, and stalled in stage, each turned on and tuned in board settings. Hover over a deal to see which warning fired. Deal likelihood scores list the positive and negative signals behind them; they need Gong Forecast, aren’t available in Gong Pro, and depend on importing and tracking the CRM’s close date, amount and stage. You can update CRM fields from a deal board, and Gong drafts follow-up emails after calls. Pricing not published. For tools that replace Gong outright, see our Gong alternatives guide. Sources: AI Deal Monitor, deal boards, pipeline view, likelihood scores, score FAQ, follow-up email.
3. Clari Forecast (Salesloft): best for forecast roll-ups across many teams
Forecast roll-ups are the core product, built for CROs who consolidate calls from many managers, regions and segments. For deal risk, Clari lists a Deal Inspection Agent, opportunity scores built on real activity, Smart Summaries of deal and account health, Ask Clari for signals from calls, emails and the CRM, and Smart Suggestions for CRM updates. Since September 2026 the company sells as Salesloft, and Clari Forecast is the one product that kept the Clari name. Pricing not published. Sources: pipeline management, Salesloft brand announcement.
4. Backstory (formerly People.ai): best for activity capture
People.ai renamed itself Backstory on April 21, 2026. It logs the emails, calls and meetings your team has with buyers without extra work from reps, then connects those signals to deal risk and momentum. It fits enterprise teams whose main problem is incomplete activity data in the CRM. Sources: product, rename.
5. Revenue.io: best for live guidance inside Salesforce
A Salesforce-native platform for dialing, real-time in-call guidance (Moments), conversation intelligence and deal insights. Its opportunity analytics show which deals are at risk, and its forecasting uses Salesforce’s own forecasting plus Revenue.io’s risk scoring. Revenue.io says plainly that teams on another CRM may be better served by other tools. Sources: products, opportunity analytics, vs Gong, vs Salesforce.
6. Avoma: best for meeting intelligence with published pricing
Drafts follow-ups from each meeting’s summary, decisions and next steps, and writes the CRM fields an admin maps after each meeting. From $19 per seat per month billed annually ($29 monthly); two-way CRM field updates need a Revenue Intelligence add-on. Along with HubSpot, it’s one of two platforms here with prices on its website. Sources: pricing, field mapping.
7. Salesforce Revenue Intelligence: best for Sales Cloud teams that want it native
Pipeline Inspection gives managers a deal list with Einstein scores and the reasons behind each. Einstein Deal Insights add predictions on deal progress, activities, conversations and emails once an admin sets them up. It suits teams that want deal scoring without another vendor. Sources: Pipeline Inspection setup, deal health insights.
8. HubSpot Sales Hub: best for an all-in-one HubSpot team
Zapier picks HubSpot Sales Hub as the all-in-one revenue intelligence platform for SMB and mid-market teams, on the strength of its forecasting tools (Zapier). If your team already lives in HubSpot, check what Sales Hub covers before you add a vendor.

Do you need forecasting, deal risk, or both?
Forecasting answers “what will we close?” Deal risk answers “which deals need help this week, and why?” They overlap, but the buyer and the daily user differ.
- Start with forecasting if the number is the problem: roll-ups across five or more teams, managers overriding reps by gut, and a board asking how sure you are. Clari Forecast and Gong Forecast are built for this.
- Start with deal risk if the number is roughly right but deals slip in the last two weeks of the quarter. You need the reason early and someone acting on it.
- If you need both, ask each vendor whether that’s one product or two, and price both. Gong’s likelihood scores need Forecast seats, and Clari Forecast is a separate product from Salesloft’s conversation intelligence.
For a 30 to 150 rep team: of the platforms here, only Avoma and HubSpot publish prices, so ask every other vendor to quote the exact modules you’d use. A platform sold module by module can end up costing more than the problem you’re solving.
How to test a revenue intelligence platform on your own deals
Run every finalist on last quarter’s deals, where you already know the ending.
- Pick 10 closed deals: five that slipped or were lost late, five that closed on time.
- Ask each vendor to run on that history. Did the tool flag the five that slipped before they slipped? What reason did it give?
- Count false alarms on the five that closed on time. A tool that flags everything trains managers to ignore it.
- Run one live pipeline review from the tool with one manager, without asking reps for updates first.
- Check what the rep had to do after a flag. Was the follow-up drafted? Did the CRM update wait for approval?
Frequently asked questions
Can you compare different revenue intelligence tools available today?
Yes. Gong leads on conversation intelligence and adds deal warnings and Gong Forecast. Clari Forecast, now part of Salesloft, leads on forecast roll-ups. Backstory (formerly People.ai) captures activity, Revenue.io guides live calls inside Salesforce, Avoma publishes its prices, and Salesforce and HubSpot offer options inside their own CRMs. AnyTeam flags at-risk deals with the reason, read from calls, email, Slack and the CRM, and drafts the rep’s follow-up for approval.
What is the best revenue intelligence platform for mid-market sales teams?
Pick by the problem and by the price you can see. AnyTeam fits leaders who want at-risk deals explained and the follow-up drafted without reps logging more. Avoma and HubSpot publish their prices, and HubSpot Sales Hub fits teams already on HubSpot. Gong and Clari Forecast are strong but sold by module, so get a quote for the modules you’d use.
Which tools flag at-risk deals before the forecast call?
Gong shows AI deal warnings on deal and forecast boards. Clari Forecast has a Deal Inspection Agent. Salesforce Pipeline Inspection scores deals with Einstein. Revenue.io shows at-risk deals in opportunity analytics. AnyTeam sorts at-risk deals most urgent first with the reason for each, so a leader can act before the call.
Can revenue intelligence tools integrate with existing CRM systems?
Yes, but check two things: which CRMs, and whether the tool only reads or also writes back. Revenue.io works only with Salesforce. AnyTeam connects to Salesforce, HubSpot and Attio and writes updates only after approval. Gong lets you update CRM fields from its deal boards.
How can sales leaders run deal reviews without joining every call?
Use a tool that summarizes what changed on each deal and why it’s flagged, so the review starts from the reason instead of the rep’s memory. AnyTeam gives leaders summaries and signals for every rep’s deals, not raw transcripts, and reps don’t file anything extra to feed it.
How much does a revenue intelligence platform cost?
Most platforms don’t publish prices. Avoma starts at $19 per seat per month billed annually, and HubSpot lists Sales Hub prices on its site. Gong, Clari Forecast, Backstory, Revenue.io and AnyTeam quote on request. Gong’s deal likelihood scores need Gong Forecast, so ask which modules a feature needs before you compare quotes.
How we compared and publisher disclosure
Every vendor fact comes from the vendor’s own product pages, help centers and announcements, checked on October 31, 2026. The three tests come from the buying advice ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode gave for revenue intelligence prompts between September and October 2026. “We didn’t find it documented” means we found no first-party source, not that the feature doesn’t exist. Vendor accuracy and time-saved claims are not repeated. The Kestrel Freight example is fictional.
AnyTeam publishes this page and is one of the tools compared. It is held to the same tests, including its limits: a desktop app, three CRMs, and no published pricing. Send corrections with first-party documentation through our contact page.
