Best Call Intelligence Solutions for Sales Teams in 2026
Compare 9 call intelligence tools by what happens after the call: who drafts the follow-up, what gets written to your CRM, and whether the next step actually gets done.
Vendor facts checked September 30 to October 28, 2026 · Published by AnyTeam, one of the tools compared (disclosure)
Which call intelligence solutions automate follow-up emails and next steps?
Almost every call intelligence tool now drafts a follow-up email and pulls next steps out of the call. Where they differ is how far each one takes the next step after it creates it:
- Gong drafts the follow-up from the transcript for the rep to edit, and its AI Data Extractor fills CRM fields with no rep step.
- Salesloft with Clari Copilot drafts the email and, since March 2026, drops the call summary into a Salesloft email in one click. Clari suggests deal-field updates for the rep to accept.
- Jiminny writes a follow-up email for each call and fills Next Step, Follow-up Date and Action Owner fields in Salesforce or HubSpot automatically.
- Avoma, Fathom, Fireflies, Chorus and HubSpot draft the follow-up and sync notes or fields to the CRM, each with a different review step.
- AnyTeam drafts the recap email when the call ends, writes the CRM update, and runs agents that act on what was promised: they add owner tasks, post open items to the deal’s Slack channel and put them on the rep’s plan for the next morning. Nothing reaches a customer until the rep approves it.
Why it matters: a next step in a summary or a CRM field is still work someone has to do. Deals slip on the steps that were written down and never done.
Looking for next steps that actually get done?
AnyTeam’s agents do the work after every sales call, from one shared memory of your team’s calls, email, CRM and Slack.
- For CROs: see every open promise on every deal before the forecast call, without asking a rep.
- For sales managers: coach from every call. Each one is scored against MEDDPICC and compared with deals your team won.
- For reps: the recap email is drafted when the call ends, the CRM note is written, and tomorrow’s plan is ready at 7 AM.
- For RevOps: every CRM change links to the call or email it came from, and you choose which changes wait for your approval.
See it on one of your live deals. 30 minutes. No slides.
Which call intelligence do you mean?
Three different kinds of software share the name. Google mixes them in its results, so it helps to know which one you’re shopping for.
| If you need to… | You’re looking for | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Coach reps and turn sales calls into follow-up and CRM updates | Sales call intelligence (this guide) | Gong, Clari Copilot, Avoma, Jiminny, AnyTeam |
| Score quality and compliance across thousands of support calls | Contact-center speech analytics | CallMiner, Verint, Observe.AI |
| Find out which ad or keyword made the phone ring | Marketing call tracking | CallRail, Invoca |
This guide covers the first row. For how call intelligence differs from deal intelligence, see conversation intelligence vs deal intelligence.
What call intelligence creates, and what still has to get done
Call intelligence software records or captures sales calls, transcribes them and finds what matters: objections, competitor mentions, talk ratios, risks and next steps. Most tools then turn that into coaching for managers and a summary for the rep.
That part is solved. What separates tools in 2026 is the work that comes after the summary. A next step has two states:
- Created: it exists as text. A line in the summary, a value in the Next Step field, a draft email in a queue.
- Done: the buyer got what they asked for, the CRM reflects it, and whatever is left has an owner and a date.
Most tools stop at created. The rep still has to send the draft, chase the document, update the stage and remember the promise made two calls ago. When a rep runs 30 open deals, that’s where follow-through breaks. (If you’re comparing lighter meeting notetakers for this job, see AI meeting follow-up tools for sales teams.)
Here’s what “done” looks like on one deal. This example comes from AnyTeam’s product demo and uses sample data:
A Kroger deal moves to Negotiation in HubSpot. An agent wakes up on that stage change and reads the buyer’s security questionnaire: 22 of 24 items answered. It checks three calls, six emails and the deal’s Slack channel, and finds that Karen, Kroger’s deputy CISO, asked for two things on the September 8 call that were never sent: a penetration test summary and an answer on where the data is stored. It posts both gaps to #deal-kroger and adds a task for Tyler, the rep, in HubSpot. Both items are caught before they can hold up the signature.
“AnyTeam does the work that buried the rep, and puts the methodology live in the deal instead of a binder, so leaders finally see what’s happening.” Kristin “KK” Andersen, Co-Founder & President, AGS
How we chose the best call intelligence software
We judged every tool on what a sales leader needs after the call, using each vendor’s own help docs, product pages and pricing pages:
- Follow-up: does it draft the email, and what does the rep still have to do?
- Next steps into the CRM: fields, tasks or notes, in Salesforce, HubSpot or both?
- Review before writing: does a person approve CRM changes, or do they write automatically?
- Context across calls: does it use earlier calls, email and CRM history on the account, or only this call?
- Coaching and live help: call scoring and in-call guidance.
- Price: published or not.
We didn’t score transcription accuracy, which every tool here handles, or contact-center features.

The 9 call intelligence tools in detail
1. AnyTeam: best for next steps that get done across every call on the deal
AnyTeam is built to act on what happens in sales conversations. Its agents work from one shared memory of your team’s calls, emails, meetings, CRM updates and Slack messages, each tied to the right account and deal.
- During the call: Meeting Pilot sits in on Zoom and Google Meet calls. When a buyer raises an objection, the rep sees the answer that has worked before while the conversation is still happening.
- After the call: the recap email is drafted and the meeting note is written on the CRM record. The post-call coach scores the call against MEDDPICC, compares it with deals your team won, and suggests questions for the next call.
- Next steps: agents run on a trigger (a stage change, a schedule, or after every external meeting) to add owner tasks, post open items to the deal channel and draft replies. The Daily Game Plan ranks each rep’s open to-dos at 7 AM.
- For leaders: check any rep’s deal without asking. Deal risk alerts flag a quiet champion, a named competitor or a slipped close date, and you see why a deal moved from commit to at risk before the forecast call.
- CRM and control: writes any field in Salesforce or HubSpot, with the same coverage in both. Each agent is set to “approval required” or “auto-run,” and every action goes to a tamper-evident audit trail. Your data is never used to train models.
- Consider another tool if: call coaching or forecasting is the main job you’re buying for. Gong is a strong fit there.
- Pricing: not published.

2. Gong: best for coaching and forecasting at enterprise scale
Gong has the deepest call analytics and coaching of the tools here, and it sells forecasting too. TrustRadius reviewers rate it 9.1 out of 10 across 1,188 reviews and ratings.
- Follow-up: drafts follow-up emails from call transcripts on any plan. Sending from Gong, and to-dos (which expire after 7 days), need Gong Engage.
- CRM: the AI Data Extractor updates CRM fields once an admin publishes it, with no rep step. Works with Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics, one CRM at a time.
- Where the work stops: the draft waits for the rep to edit and send, and field updates write without review. If you’re replacing Gong, see our Gong alternatives guide.
- Pricing: not published. Gong charges per person plus a platform fee. Vendr’s buyer data puts the median contract at about $55,000 a year.

3. Salesloft with Clari Copilot: best for engagement, calls and forecasting from one vendor
Salesloft and Clari merged in December 2025, so Copilot’s call intelligence now sits next to Salesloft’s sequences and Clari’s forecasting.
- Follow-up: Copilot’s Smart Follow-Ups generate an email draft the rep can edit before sending. Since March 2026, the rep can push the call summary into a Salesloft email, with subject line and participants filled in, in one click.
- CRM: Clari’s Smart CRM Suggestions recommend deal-field updates. Salesloft syncs methodology fields such as MEDDPICC from calls, with no approval step described.
- Live help: Smart Battlecards.
- Where the work stops: the follow-up is one click from sent, and the rep makes that click and accepts each field suggestion.
- Pricing: not published.
- Sources: Clari Copilot AI features, follow-up email Q&A, March 2026 release (checked October 28, 2026), merger, conversations
4. Chorus by ZoomInfo: best for teams already using ZoomInfo
- Follow-up: ZoomInfo added AI follow-up email drafts to Chorus in September 2023.
- CRM: syncs contact and customer interactions to the CRM, and lets you combine conversation metrics with Salesforce reporting. The page doesn’t mention HubSpot.
- Where the work stops: a draft for the rep. The pages we reviewed don’t describe approval controls for CRM updates.
- Pricing: custom plans, not published.

5. Avoma: best for all-in-one meeting and call intelligence on a budget
- Follow-up: drafts a follow-up email from the transcript, decisions and next steps within minutes of the call. Reps review, edit and send through Gmail or Outlook.
- CRM: saves notes to CRM records and appends content to mapped fields. Two-way field updates need the Revenue Intelligence add-on. One CRM connection at a time.
- Coaching and live help: AI call scoring against methodologies such as MEDDIC and SPICED, plus live answer cards during calls.
- Where the work stops: the draft is built from this meeting. Avoma’s documentation doesn’t describe drafts that use earlier meetings on the account.
- Pricing: from $19 per recorder seat per month, billed annually. Conversation intelligence is a $29 per user per month add-on, billed annually.
- Sources: pricing, follow-up, CRM field mapping, best CI software (checked October 28, 2026)
6. Jiminny: best for filling Next Step fields automatically
- Follow-up: generates a follow-up email for each call with action items and next steps.
- CRM: AI CRM Filling writes Next Step, Follow-up Date and Action Owner, plus methodology fields such as MEDDPICC and BANT. It runs when a call is ready, an email arrives on a deal or the stage changes. Salesforce and HubSpot only.
- Where the work stops: the field says what the next step is. Doing it is still the rep’s job.
- Pricing: on request; 14-day free trial.
- Sources: follow-up emails, AI CRM Filling, use cases, free trial (checked October 28, 2026)
7. Fireflies: best for low-cost notes with HubSpot updates you approve
- Follow-up: lists an Email Assistant on Pro and higher plans.
- CRM: Autofill CRM drafts HubSpot contact, company and deal updates, and nothing is written until a user approves. Deal Intelligence adds a per-deal workspace with linked meetings, tasks and risks (Business plan and up).
- Where the work stops: a reviewed CRM update and a task list. The rep follows through.
- Pricing: free plan; Pro $10 and Business $19 per seat per month, billed annually.
- Sources: pricing, Autofill CRM, Deal Intelligence
8. Fathom: best for free call notes
- Follow-up: AI follow-up emails on the Business plan.
- CRM: syncs summaries and action items to HubSpot or Salesforce automatically; Business maps summary content into deal fields.
- Where the work stops: Fathom knows what was said in the meetings it recorded, and nothing outside them.
- Pricing: free plan; Team $15 and Business $25 per user per month, billed annually.
- Sources: pricing, HubSpot integration
9. HubSpot Sales Hub: best for teams that run everything in HubSpot
- Follow-up: the meeting notetaker suggests action items and a follow-up email for the rep to review.
- CRM: suggested property updates can approve automatically or wait for review, set per property. Reps create each task, and tasks carry due dates and reminders.
- Where the work stops: inside HubSpot. If Salesforce is your system of record, look at a standalone tool.
- Pricing: the notetaker sits on Sales Hub Professional (from $90 per seat per month, billed annually) and Enterprise.
- Sources: meeting notetaker, tasks, pricing

Call intelligence vs revenue intelligence: where the forecast fits
Revenue intelligence platforms roll up the pipeline and forecast for the leadership team. Call intelligence analyzes the conversations that feed it. Many vendors now sell both, which is why the terms blur.
For a CRO, the useful question is where the forecast’s evidence comes from. A forecast built on stages reps typed in last Friday tells you what reps think. A forecast checked against what buyers said tells you what’s real.
- Gong and Salesloft with Clari sell dedicated forecasting products. If a formal forecast process is the main job, start there.
- AnyTeam works alongside your forecasting tool. Its agents compare the pipeline with last week, find what changed and pull the reason from each call, so you see why a deal slipped from commit to at risk before the forecast call. A weekly pipeline check flags commit deals with no recent activity and tags every lost deal with a reason and the evidence behind it.

Run the one-call test before you buy
Demos show a perfect call. Your deals aren’t perfect. Before you sign, run each finalist on one real call from an open deal that has already had at least two calls, then score it the next morning:
- Follow-up: was a draft ready within 10 minutes, and did it mention something from an earlier call?
- CRM: what changed in Salesforce or HubSpot, was it right, and did anyone approve it?
- Next steps: does every next step have an owner and a date?
- Promises: did anything the buyer asked for show up somewhere you’ll see it tomorrow?
- Leader view: can a manager see where the deal stands without asking the rep?
A tool that passes 1 and 2 creates next steps. A tool that passes all five gets them done.
5 questions to ask about CRM writes
- Which fields, tasks and notes does it write, and is it the same in Salesforce and HubSpot?
- Does each change write automatically or wait for approval, and can you set that per action?
- Can you open the call or email behind every change?
- What happens when it matches a call to the wrong deal?
- Is there a log of every change the AI made?
Every wrong field ends up in the forecast your CRO commits to the board.
Frequently asked questions
What is call intelligence software?
Software that captures sales calls, transcribes them and finds what matters in them: objections, competitors, risks and next steps. Most tools also score calls for coaching and sync notes to the CRM. Newer tools act on the next steps too.
What’s the difference between call intelligence and call recording?
Call recording stores the call so someone can play it back. Call intelligence analyzes it and turns it into coaching, summaries, CRM updates and follow-up.
Which call intelligence solutions automatically update Salesforce after sales calls?
Gong’s AI Data Extractor, Jiminny’s AI CRM Filling and Salesloft’s methodology sync write Salesforce fields automatically. Fathom creates Salesforce tasks automatically once task creation is on. AnyTeam writes any Salesforce field and adds owner tasks, with approval set per agent. Check whether each write waits for review before you turn it on.
Does HubSpot conversation intelligence work with Salesforce?
It’s built into HubSpot and works on HubSpot records. Teams that run Salesforce as their system of record usually pick a standalone tool that writes to Salesforce directly.
What call intelligence solutions keep context across multiple calls on the same account?
Gong draws on recorded calls, emails and account activity. Fireflies’ Deal Intelligence groups linked meetings, tasks and risks by deal. AnyTeam keeps one shared memory of every call, email, meeting, CRM update and Slack message on the account, and its follow-up and briefs draw on all of it.
Is it legal to record sales calls?
Rules vary by state and country, and some U.S. states require every participant’s consent. Justia’s 50-state survey lists the rules. Check with your counsel before rolling out any tool that captures calls.
